The Federal Government has said it would only lift ban on Twitter if the platform can be used responsibly.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama said this on Monday during a meeting with some envoys of the United States of America, United King, Canada, and European Union.
When questioned when the ban would be lifted, Onyeama explained that there was no definite timeline for that adding, “The condition would be responsible use of the social media and that really has to be it.
“We are not saying that Twitter is threatening the country or any such thing; why we have taken this measure is to stop them from being used as platforms for destabilisation and facilitation of criminality and encouragement of criminalities.”
