The Host Communities Producing Oil, Gas and Pipeline Impacted States Youth Council of Nigeria (HOSTCON Youth Council) has passed a vote of confidence in the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Grosvenor Global Services Limited (GGSL), Asiwaju Engr. Prince Olusoji Olatunji, citing his leadership in oil asset protection and host community development.

The endorsement followed the Council’s Annual Mid-Term Review Meeting in Abuja, where members of the National Executive Council and Board of Trustees assessed the performance of indigenous companies engaged in protecting critical oil and gas infrastructure.

Speaking after the meeting, the National President of the HOSTCON Youth Council, Snr. Comr. Emmanuel Fiawei Pathfinder, popularly known as Gen. Osama, described GGSL as one of the outstanding performers in the sector.

He said the company had distinguished itself through effective protection of oil and gas assets, strong community engagement, job creation and impactful corporate social responsibility initiatives across the Niger Delta.

Pathfinder praised Olatunji’s leadership, describing him as transparent, visionary and committed to the sustainable development of host communities.

According to him, the Council unanimously adopted the vote of confidence in recognition of Olatunji’s transformational leadership and commitment to protecting critical national assets while fostering peaceful relations with host communities.

The Council described him as a patriotic corporate leader whose approach to oil asset protection and community relations should serve as a model for operators in the oil and gas industry.

It urged industry stakeholders to strengthen partnerships with host communities, expand youth empowerment programmes and uphold responsible corporate governance to enhance peace, boost crude oil production and safeguard Nigeria’s energy infrastructure.

The Council also commended GGSL’s growth under Olatunji’s leadership, noting that he also serves as Chairman of Tratun Energy Limited and Executive Director of Regions Oil and Gas.

It said the company’s pipeline surveillance and security operations have helped reduce crude oil theft and protect critical energy infrastructure across the Niger Delta.

The Council further highlighted GGSL’s educational support through the distribution of notebooks, textbooks and other learning materials to students in host communities, as well as its youth empowerment initiatives, sports sponsorship programmes and regular distribution of relief materials to vulnerable families.

It added that the establishment of the headquarters of GGSL and Tratun Energy in Otokutu, Delta State, has created employment opportunities and stimulated economic activities in surrounding Urhobo communities.

The Council also commended Olatunji’s PROOF Health Outreach Programme, which it said has provided medical services, essential drugs and healthcare supplies to more than 50 communities across the Niger Delta.
