Yuletide: Security agencies kick off operation ‘Show of Force’ in A’Ibom
Combined security forces on Wednesday commenced operation “Show of Force” in preparation for the forthcoming yuletide season and to maintain peace, security, law, and order in Akwa Ibom.
The exercise led by the Joint Task Force (JTF) comprising 2 Brigade Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Road Safety Corp, Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was carried out in all the flashpoints across the state.
The exercise was carried out within Uyo Metropolis to warn hoodlums to either relocate or become law-abiding citizens as the security operatives were ready to take them headlong if they tried to be a security threat to the people.
This initiative aims to convey a strong message to potential criminal elements, emphasizing the preparedness and determination of the security forces to collaboratively address any threats to peace and security.
The exercise is aimed at showcasing the high-level synergy and cooperation amongst the security agencies in Akwa Ibom State towards the safety of Akwa Ibom people throughout the yuletide season and beyond.
