Seplat Energy completes acquisition of Mobil

Seplat Energy Offshore Limited has completed the acquisition of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited.
As a result, Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited will now be known as Seplat Energy Producing Nigeria Unlimited (SEPNU), as it has retained all assets and liabilities of the previous company.
Seplat Energy Board Chairman, Senator Udo Udoma who stated this on Wednesday in Uyo during a courtesy visit to Governor Umo Eno noted that the company would support the socio-economic development of Akwa Ibom State.
Udoma said SEPNU would collaborate with the state government and the communities in the long term, which would be mutually beneficial to all.
“We are honoured to have the opportunity to engage with the Akwa Ibom State Government and present our vision for a collaborative future.
“Our commitment is not only to the growth of our operations but also to the well-being and prosperity of the communities where we operate.
“We are confident that through strong partnerships and shared goals, we can bring significant economic and social benefits to the country, state and our communities,” Udoma stated.
In his response, Governor Umo Eno assured the Seplat team which included the Group Chief Executive Officer, Roger Brown and the Managing Director of Seplat Energy Producing Nigeria Unlimited, Mr. Oladotun Isiaka that the state government would create an enabling environment for the company’s operations to thrive.
Eno expressed hope that the collaboration will yield tangible benefits for the people, boost the local economy and promote sustainable development.
