Police storm cultists’ den in Ikorodu, nab three suspects

The operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested three suspected cultists after raiding their hideouts in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the police were able to arrest the suspects following intelligence from civic-minded Lagosians.

He said: “Acting upon intelligence provided by civic-minded Lagosians, operatives of the CP Special Squad of the Command stormed some cultists’ den in Isawo, Ikorodu on April 16, 2022.

“The timely raid led to the arrest of some suspected cultists and recovery of 2 locally made single barrel pistols, four live cartridges, several assorted charms, berets and an award plaque.

“The arrested suspects, Oluwaseun Michael ‘m’ 31yrs a.k.a Coded, Adedotun Jelili ‘m’ 25yrs, and Solomon Moses ‘m’ 22yrs have provided useful information to the Police.”

According to the PPRO, the Lagos State Police Command uses this medium to call on parents, guardians, and traditional/religious/political/youth leaders to prevail on the teeming youth population to shun cultism and other vices.

He added that the suspects would be charged at the completion of the investigation.
