The newly elected Honorary President of the Police Officers’ Mess Committee, Ekpenyong Ekpenyong, has pledged a strong working relationship with the Akwa Ibom State Police Command to promote officers’ welfare, professionalism and unity.

Ekpenyong pledged during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, Baba Mohammed Azare, where he formally introduced the committee’s new leadership.

The newly elected Honorary President of the Police Officers’ Mess Committee, Ekpenyong Ekpenyong, has pledged a strong working relationship with the Akwa Ibom State Police Command to promote officers’ welfare, professionalism and unity.

Ekpenyong pledged during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, Baba Mohammed Azare, where he formally introduced the committee’s new leadership.

He commended the Commissioner of Police for his leadership and commitment to the safety of lives and property, as well as his support for initiatives to improve the welfare and professionalism of police personnel.

Ekpenyong assured the Commissioner of the committee’s readiness to collaborate with the Command in advancing programmes that would boost officers’ morale and uphold the values of discipline, integrity and selfless service.

In his remarks, the Commissioner congratulated Ekpenyong on his election as Honorary President of the Police Officers’ Mess Committee, describing the position as one that carries significant responsibility in promoting unity and harmony among officers.

Reiterating the importance of teamwork, he said “effective policing thrives in an atmosphere of collaboration, mutual trust and shared responsibility,” and called on the committee to continue promoting initiatives that strengthen unity among officers and enhance the Command’s operational efficiency.

The commissioner also reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to “maintaining an open-door policy” and pledged continued support for genuine initiatives that promote professionalism, discipline, officers’ welfare and institutional development.

The visit ended with both parties reaffirming their commitment to sustaining “a strong partnership anchored on mutual respect, cooperation and a shared vision of building a more motivated, disciplined and service-oriented Police Force for the benefit of the people of Akwa Ibom State.”
