IGP orders reinstatement of nine dismissed police officers in Taraba State

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba has ordered the Commissioner of Police, Taraba State to reinstate the nine dismissed rank and files in the command.

The reinstatement order was contained in a signal with reference CH7370/WEL/FHQ/ABJ/VOL13/12 dated March 24, 2021.

The following rank and files, referred to as applicants were ordered to be reinstated with immediate effect as seen in the signal.

They are: Ex-Sgt Willie Ikwa with F/No. 402545, Ex-Sgt Sani Bawa with F/No. 402545, Ex-Cpl Akong Ekpe with F/No. 40245, Ex-Cpl Marcel Ugwu with F/No. 369004, Ex-WCpl Janey Akachukwu with F/No. 025808, Ex-Cpl Sadiq Salami with F/No. 237809, Ex-Cpl Alexander O. Aleji with F/No. 232693, Ex-Cpl Francis Jegede with F/No. 19390 and Ex-Cpl Christian Ejiogu with F/No. 425435.

“The Inspector-General of Police has graciously set aside their punishment or dismissal and ordered their reinstated back into the Force,” the signal noted.

It added, “The affected applicants are to report at reinstatement rank and file for three (3) months Refresher Course slated to commence April 19, 2021. Force Headquarters also directed the command to trace and notify the affected personnel to report not later than April 18, 2021.
