EFCC nabs 34 suspected Internet fraudsters in Ekiti
Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have conducted an arrest. They apprehended thirty-four (34) suspected internet fraudsters.
This was according to a statement by Dele Oyewale, Head of Media and Publicity at EFCC. It was made available to journalists on Thursday.
The authorities arrested the alleged fraudsters in the early hours of Monday, June 23, 2025. They were apprehended at Iworoko and Ijado areas of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State. This followed credible intelligence about their suspected fraudulent activities.
Items recovered from them include eleven exotic cars, laptops, several mobile phones, and incriminating documents, among others.
They will be charged in court when investigations are concluded.
