EFCC arrests 35 suspected Internet fraudsters in Benin City

Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, arrested 35 suspected internet fraudsters at different locations within Benin City.
Head, Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, said in a statement on Wednesday that the suspects were arrested based on credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet-related fraud.
Items recovered from them include nine exotic cars, smartphones and laptops
The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
