Bandits kill secretary to traditional ruler, wife, daughter-in-law

The police in Kaduna State have confirmed the killing of three persons – a couple and another woman. One of the deceased, Sgt. Christopher Madaki (rtd) was a secretary of a Ward at Golkofa, Jema’a LGA, Kaduna State.
It was learnt that the police also reported that the secretary’s wife and his daughter in-law (son’s wife) were also killed by the assailants, who invaded their residence in Kaduna.
A statement signed by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan on Sunday noted that the attackers inflicted some deep cuts on the deceased son’s body before he fled the crime scene.
The corpses of the deceased’s wife, Mary Christopher Madaki and his son’s wife, Alice Musa, who was also killed by the assailants, were deposited in a mortuary.
In the statement by Samuel Aruwan, it was gathered that a breakdown of law and order was averted in Kachia town, headquarters of Kachia LGA, following the killing of one Hamidu Nura by one Abba Muhammad.
The Commissioner although explained that the Police is investigating the matter that led to the suspect, Abba to stab Hamidu multiple times.
He added that some irate youth in the area, mobilized themselves, and got hold of the killer, Abba, he said the youths attacked Abba with sharp weapons, killing him in the process.
After the incident had happened, security agents were deployed to the area to bring the situation under control. Meanwhile, the governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El Rufai has reacted to the death of the Scribe, his wife and daughter in-law.
He condemned the killing of the three persons and ordered security agencies in the state to trail the assailant and bring him to justice.
