Atiku flags off presidential campaigns, urges Nigerians to vote for PDP

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections has urged Nigerians to vote for the party to ensure good governance.
Speaking on Monday in Uyo during the flag-off of his Presidential campaigns at the Nest of Champions, Atiku who called on Nigerians to vote for him and the party during the 2023 elections, said the PDP would rescue Nigeria from hunger, poverty, insecurity, lack of jobs, and disunity.
Dedicating the launch of the campaigns to the achievements of the Akwa Ibom PDP, the Presidential candidate said the All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration brought about a change as they promised in a negative way.
According to him, the economy of Nigeria under PDP before 2015 was better than what we are experiencing now.
“Today, we are inaugurating our campaign to rescue Nigeria from poverty, insecurity and bad governance. Therefore, I urge you to vote for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). When you vote for PDP there will be no more hunger and insecurity.
“If you vote for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) there will be unity in Nigeria, ” Abubakar said.
In his remarks, the National Chairman of PDP, Sen. Iyochia Ayu, thanked Nigerians for coming out for the flagged-off to support the party in the 2023 general elections.
Ayu said that the campaign train PDP was leaving the station slowly to enable those who were yet on board to join the campaign train.
The chairman said that Nigerians were waiting for PDP to come and rescue the country and restore back the economy.
“We will restore the economy and there will be jobs for the teeming youths of this country, we need your support to restore the country. Nigerians, PDP will not disappoint you,” Ayu said.
Earlier in his welcome remarks, Gov. Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom said that the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has the capacity to unite the country.
Emmanuel, who is also the Chairman, PDP Campaign Council said that the campaign was to revitalise Nigeria and restore hope to the country.
He urged Nigerians to support PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to eradicate poverty, hunger and insecurity from the country come 2023.
“Today, we want to flag off the campaign to bring hope to Nigerians. All Nigerians are expected to join the movement to rescue the country. Nigeria is a great country.
“We call on all Nigerians to join hands and build Nigeria and bring the country back. We need the President knows the solution to our problems, ” Emmanuel said.
Our correspondents report that the high point of the campaign was the handing over of the PDP flag to the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar by the national chairman, Iyochia Ayu.
