APC reps candidate promises grassroots development if elected

Mr Clement Jimbo, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate representing Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency in the National Assembly has promised to bring development to the grassroots if elected.
Jimbo, who is the flag-bearer for the constituency said this in a press conference held in his campaign office in Ediene Abak near Uyo on Thursday.
He said that his ambition is a collective resolve of the constituents, who are yearning for a good and effective representation at the national assembly.
“What my constituents are yearning for is leadership with content, capacity, and credibility and I fit into their yearnings.
“My mission in the 10th Assembly is to cooperate and collaborate with other lawmakers to bring development to the grassroots. I will cooperate and unbundle many of the laws that the 9th has already put in place for the benefit of our people.
“For instance, I will simplify the Petroleum Industrial Act as passed to the understanding of my people for them to benefit from it.
“Everything that is discussed in Nigeria at the National Assembly which is going to affect the people of Abak, Etim Ekpo and Ika federal constituency and which has to be solicited for, I will sit down and dialogue with the people and then take it the hallow chambers,” Jimbo said.
Jimbo promised to take issues of welfare of his constituents as a responsibility to ensure none of his constituent suffers unjustly.
He assured that all the rights and privileges meant for his constituency will be shared evenly without any class demarcation.
The APC national assembly candidate commended the 10th assembly for giving state governors the powers to generate and distribute electricity, although to some specific areas as against what used to be.
Jimbo, who is from the private sector added that he would contribute his quota to make electricity available to everyone as power was very essential to the progress of small-scale businesses.
The house of representatives’ candidate said he would ensure basic amenities like clean water supply, good road networks and robust transformation in the federal constituency if elected.
Jimbo called on the electorates from his constituency and all Nigerians to support and vote for all APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
