APC governors to storm A’Ibom as Emmanuel’s defection plan thickens

All Progressives Congress governors are to storm Akwa Ibom State as Governor Udom Emmanuel’s defection plan has become clearer.

The governors that are to welcome him into the APC are the party’s Interim National Chairman, Governor Mai Mala Buni (Yobe); Ben Ayade (Cross River); David Nwaeze Umahi (Ebonyi); Hope Uzodinma (Imo), and others APC governors.

Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State on Thursday, May 20, 2021, while defecting from the People’s Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress, said other PDP governors would soon join him in APC.

According to TheDune, the PDP family in Akwa Ibom State has been thrown into mourning as fear begins to grip loyalists of the ruling umbrella party.

It was gathered that some PDP members have taken to their social media handles to condemn the ‘supposedly’ planned defection of Emmauel, while others have decided to stay aloof and observe the terrain as events unfold.

According to CitizenDiary, Government House sources said that the governor will announce his current political party, adding that his loyalists have also concluded plans to go with the governor.

However, the purpose of their planned visit is not made known to the media, but sources have it that their plans will be unveiled once they arrive Akwa Ibom.
