Aiyedatiwa grants jobs to seven outstanding corps members

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has offered automatic employment to seven outstanding members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who completed their service in the state.

The governor announced the appointments during an award ceremony for outstanding students, teachers and national award recipients at the Cocoa Conference Centre in Akure.

In addition to the employment offers, Aiyedatiwa presented ₦1 million to each of the 66 award recipients in recognition of their outstanding achievements and contributions.

According to a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to rewarding excellence and retaining exceptional talent in Ondo State.

Aiyedatiwa said investing in human capital remains central to the state’s long-term development, describing the awardees as worthy ambassadors whose academic excellence, innovation and discipline have brought pride to Ondo State.

He also praised teachers for their role in shaping future leaders, describing them as the foundation of national development and the driving force behind the success of outstanding students.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting quality education and recognising excellence across the state.

Ondo State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, said the awards were designed to encourage academic excellence and motivate students and teachers to strive for greater achievements.

He added that the governor had directed the compilation of names of other indigenes who have distinguished themselves academically for future recognition.
