PDP chairman reportedly slumps, dies during peace accord signing
Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Zamfara State chapter, Alh Ahmad Sani Kaura, has died.
Kaura, who was said to have been ill, reportedly slumped and died on Wednesday in Gusau during a peace accord meeting with Zamfara State Council of Ulama ahead of next year’s poll.
A chieftain of the party in the state, Aminu Umar, said Kaura was sick and had not fully recovered before attending the meetings.
It was gathered that preparations were afoot to bury his remains according to Islamic injunction in his home town of Kaura Namoda.
