A graduate of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO), Akwa Ibom State, Ms Nsidibe Solomon Etuk, has reminded the Akwa Ibom State governor, Udom Emmanuel of the promised he made to her as the overall best graduating student of the university five years ago.
Etuk finished the school with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.65 and believes the governor will fulfil his alleged promise.
She said the Department of Music told her that the governor had promised to sponsor her education to any level anywhere in the world.
According to her, Emmanuel made the pledge on 31 October 2015, during the school’s 21st convocation ceremony, when Prof Comfort Ekpo was the Vice-Chancellor.

“Our beloved Governor, His Excellency, Mr Udom Emmanuel in his speech at the event promised that I would be sponsored to further my education at anywhere to any level.
“Jesus Christ was abandoned in the tomb for three days. So, has my graduation promise been laid in the sepulchre of bureaucracy for over five years now?
“May Christ’s resurrection bring a visitation to my case. May it please our Governor and all the parties involved in fulfilling this public promise, to solidify it with love and dedication,” she said.
