Woman beats housemaid to death, dumps corpse in bush

The National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) in Anambra State has arrested a woman for beating her housemaid to death and dumping her corpse in a bush.

The woman was said to have confessed to the crime as she took the NAPTIP officials to the bush where she dumped the remains of the girl.

The woman, who spoke in Igbo said: “I beat her and she started convulsing, so I took her to Kings (hospital). Getting there, she died, so I threw her body here.”

The child’s body was already decomposing in a trending video shared online.

The agency officials said the woman would be charged soon.
