UUTH offers discounted surgery

The University of Uyo Teaching Hospital in Akwa Ibom State has reduced the cost of surgery to members of public by 50 per cent.

Prof Eyo Effiong Ekpe, Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, UUTH, Uyo, said this in a statement in Uyo on Friday.

The statement read: “I wish to inform you that our amiable Chief Medical Director, Prof Emem Bassey, with his management team, has graciously approved 50% reduction in the operation fee for all types of surgical operations.

“The discounted operation fee takes immediate effect and will end by December 2023.

“Concern patients are advised to undergo their operation within this period to benefit from the rate!”
