Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State, on Saturday, 15 November 2025, announced N800 million empowerment scheme for non-indigenous residents in the state, including Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Niger Delta communities, and others. According to Eno, the initiative aligns with his administration’s commitment to promoting unity, inclusivity, and equal opportunities for all residents, irrespective of ethnic background. The governor said this while addressing the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, during the Igbo Unity Day celebration held at Ibom Hall in Uyo.
