Student shot dead in Yabatech
A suspected cult member shot dead a student at Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) in Lagos on Thursday evening.
The student was shot twice, PUNCH gathered.
A student of Yabatech, Tayo Aina, said she was behind the student that was shot.
“I was going for night class because my final exam is tomorrow and the next thing, I heard was a gunshot and the guy behind me fell,” she said.
Spokesman of the police in Lagos Benjamin Hundeyin has confirmed the incident. He said details will be revealed after investigation.
“The DPO (divisional police officer) of the area already visited the scene and confirmed that the incident did happen,” he said.
