So-Safe nabs a suspected cultist, recovers pistol, ammunition in Ogun

The Officers and men of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps also known as So-Safe, on Thursday, 30, March, 2023 around 0200hrs arrested a suspected cultist, who specialized in terrorising Ogun communities.
This is contained in a press release issued from the office of the State Commander of the So-Safe Corps, Commander (Dr)Soji Ganzallo through the office of the Director of information and public relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, that the directorate of operation of the agency special team in response to a distress call of possible attacks from the men living in an abandoned flooded building of 20 rooms at Oke-Ijeun Tuntun in Abeokuta, where the suspect occupied one of the two rooms rented out.
Ganzallo noted that the team was able to apprehend the kingpin, Mr Akeem Yekinni, a 48-year-old man, who resides at the said building at Nawar-ud-Deen, Ijeun Tuntun.
Ganzallo noted that the suspect refused to disclose the rest members of his team and their mode of operation as at the time time of filing this report.
Ganzallo revealed that after a thorough search of the room where the suspect resides, a double-barrelled locally made pistol and a live cartridge was found wrapped with a cloth and kept in a travelling bag.
The suspected ritualist and the exhibits have been transferred to the Nigeria Police, Anti Cultism Unit, Oke-Ijemo, for onward transfer to the State Police Headquarters, Eleweran for further investigation and likely prosecution.
