So-Safe Corps nabs robbery syndicate from Republic of Benin

Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps), around 8 am, on Wednesday, 15 February, 2023 arrested a notorious robbery suspect who is on the black list in Republic of Benin.
A press release issued from the office of the State Commander of the So-Safe Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander, Moruf Yusuf, said that the So-Safe and the Republic of Benin have a wonderful security relationship.
According to Ganzallo, the corps was alerted a few weeks ago to assist in apprehending a robbery suspect, who escaped arrest and suspected to be hibernating in Nigeria while the kingpin of the team is in their custody.
Ganzallo noted that the robbery suspect, Mr Mishodi Awiagin, was sighted on his foot from far a distance in Ayetoro in the Ipokia Local Government Area by the Ipokia Area Command Special Patrol Team on routine patrol led by the Area Commander, ACC Yusuf Aliu.
He stated that sighting the security agents, the suspect took to his heels and he was given a hot chase.
Ganzallo in the statement revealed that the suspect was captured alive without any injury
He added that during preliminary investigation, the suspect confessed to being a native doctor by profession in the country and that he truly fled Republic of Benin to escape being arrested for his involvement in a number of serious crimes.
Ganzallo revealed that the suspect had been transferred to Sakete Police, Republic of Benin for further investigation and likely prosecution.
