Seven die, 14 injured in Lagos Road crash

At least, seven people lost their lives in a road crash on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Sunday.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Federal Road Safety Corps spokesperson, Bisi Kazeem.

He said the lone crash involved a White Mazda Bus with registration number BDG993YG.

According to the statement, “14 people got injured (four male adults, five female adults, 2 male children, and 3 female children).

“Another seven people were killed comprising two male adults, 3 female adults, and 2 male children.

“The main cause of the crash has been identified to be break failure, which resulted in a loss of control.”

The Corps Marshal, Dauda Biu, urged commercial vehicle operators, as well as private vehicle owners to make routine and regular vehicle maintenance a major priority.
