Sector Commander urges promoted personnel on commitment, hard work

The Akwa Ibom State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Oga Ochi, on Wednesday urged officers of the command to be committed to duty and be hard working to earn promotion.
Speaking during the decoration of 52 officers, who were promoted recently by the commission, Ochi described the promoted personnel as very discipline and hardworking.
He urged the promoted officers to continue to maintain discipline to promote the core value of the corps.
Ochi asked the promoted officer to use all the experiences gathered for the growth and uplift the corps.
The sector commander said corps would continue to use consultation, reward, and punishment as measures of assessment.
He said that much responsibility was expected from all the promoted personnel, stressing that to whom much is given, much is expected.
He warned the officers to be careful as they assumed higher responsibilities knowing that they would be accountable to all actions.
“Promotion is higher responsibility, those promoted must show more commitment to duty, discipline and be hardworking.
“To whom much is given, much is also required. Promotion is higher responsibility,” Ochi said.
He appealed to those not promoted yet to work hard and applied due diligence, believing that this year would be better for them.
“While waiting for your time to be promoted, applied due diligence, wisdom to enhance your future.
“Let’s all hands be on deck to promote the core value of the corps,” he said.
The sector commander used the opportunity to commend some officers, who exhibited exemplary behaviour and performed creditably in 2020 operation year.
In his remarks, one of the promoted officers, Mr Gospel Abagha,, said he was honoured by the promotion and attributed it to the grace of God and hard work.
Abagha said that the promotion would spur him to perform the task ahead better, saying, “reward for excellence is more work.”
