One Israel Iheanacho, a popular palm wine tapper in Ahaba Orodo, Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, was reportedly killed by people suspected to be ritual killers.

A source, who did not authorise the use of his name for fear that he could be attacked, stated that the hoodlums cut off the victim’s manhood.

It was learnt that Iheanacho left his house to get some drugs in a nearby pharmacy around 9 pm when he was ambushed and slaughtered by the assailants.

The dastard act was said to have led to outcry in the community as many questioned why the palm wine tapper could be killed in such a gruesome manner.

“Mr Israel Iheanacho, a palm wine tapper in our community was on Tuesday night beheaded. His manhood was also cut off. This is very unfortunate.

“As I speak to you, our community is in huge confusion. His headless body has been deposited at a nearby morgue.

“Policemen have come and taken records. This is indeed very unfortunate,” the source said.
