Policemen besiege APC secretariat in Abuja
Scores of policemen have taken over the APC secretariat in Abuja early Monday.
It was gathered that the police presence at the secretariat was part of efforts to ward off violent protests against the caretaker leadership of the party.
The party has been enmeshed in crises over the leadership of the caretaker committee as many have called for the removal of the chairman, Mai-Mala Buni.
About five hilux vans have been strategically positioned along the Blantyre Street of the secretariat which was recently rechristened “Buhari House”.
The controversy that has trailed the validity of the Gov Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee CECPC of the party is set to metamorphose into violent protests, hence the need to take adequate security measures.
