Police nab three workers for stealing electricity cables

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested three company employees for stealing electricity wires.
Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfon John said the suspects were caught unlawfully removing and concealing electrical wires belonging to the company they work for.
John said the suspects have confessed to the crime and would be charged in court after investigations have been completed.
“Operatives of the Akwa Ibom State Police Command have arrested three employees of an Electrical Company for allegedly stealing company wires.
“Acting on credible information, the suspects were apprehended while unlawfully removing and concealing electrical wires belonging to the company.
“The suspects confessed to the crime; further investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of their involvement. They will be charged in court upon completion of the investigation.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, fsi, has reiterated the Command’s commitment to upholding law and order, warning that criminal acts will not be condoned in any form,” the PRO stated.
