Police arrest man for defiling girl 16 in Osun

Police in Osun State have arrested one Akeem Adebayo for defiling a 16-year-old girl.
According to a source, who pleaded anonymity, the alleged suspect defiled the girl when she was washing her clothes at the stream in Ido Osun, Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State.
Further report revealed that the victim was in a stream near her father’s house when the suspect hit her on the head with a sharp object, leaving her with a head cut and went on to defile her.
It was learnt that it was her cry for help that attracted the attention of passers-by, who rushed to the scene, freed the girl and apprehended the suspect.
The victim was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Osun State, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident.
She added that the suspect will be charged after a thorough investigation into the mat.
