Lagos Police Arrest Inspector Caught in Viral Video Shooting at Ladipo Market, Undergoes Orderly Room Trial

An Inspector of Police caught in a viral video shooting with an AK47 rifle at Ladipo Market in Lagos State has been identified and arrested.  

The suspect, Istifanus Kwanchi, attached to the Lagos squadron of the Mobile Police (MOPOL), is currently facing Orderly Room Trial for his unprofessional, unethical and dangerous behaviour, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said in a press statement.  

According to the command’s spokesman,  

“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Idowu Owohunwa, has ordered the immediate commencement of disciplinary proceedings against the officer for his unprofessional, unethical and dangerous behavior”.  

The Police boss, however, assured the public that the command would not tolerate any form of deviant behavior from its officers and men.  

In addition, the CP stressed that those found culpable would be dealt with in accordance with laid down rules.
