Pipeline surveillance firm Amotoi dismissed smear campaign by rival Labrado

The management of Amotoi Global Services, a Pipeline Surveillance firm at Aiteo’s Oilfields in Nembe, Bayelsa has dismissed allegations of complicity of staff in oil theft as a desperate and malicious ploy by rival Labrado Security outfit to tarnish its hard-earned reputation.

Mr Alaikieriekigha Frank, Assistant Swamp Coordinator Amotoi Global Services said on Tuesday that it was regrettable that Kojo Sam who runs Labrado Security has resorted to the frequent spread of falsehood to blackmail Amotoi Global Services.

“The rumour going around social media space by one Kojo Sam and his cohorts accusing Amotoi Global Services workers of bunkering activities around Elemuama axis which is not Aiteo operational field is just a mere speculation and unfounded rumour to mislead the public.

“For the sake of truth and transparency, we wish to make these clarifications. The said persons Inanumotengha Nabo and Ideri Dio who are legitimate staff of Amotoi Global Services were not involved in bunkering.

“The duo completed their two weeks duty and went fishing in a distant community, Elemuama before this false allegation.

“That their houses were broken 8nto and their identity cards were stolen in the said community while they were away fishing and not in any bunkering point as alleged by Kojo Sam.

“Also the said communities, Okoroba and Elemuama are Agip host communities and not in any way close to Aiteo operational fields,” Frank explained.

He recalled that Labrado Security was fond of falsely accusing Amotoi Global Services staff of complicity in oil theft without any substance.

“It is interesting to note that in 2018 the same Kojo Sam gave information that turned out to be false and raised false alarm that Amotoi Global Service staff were involved in oil theft and vandalism.

“Our staff were arrested by the Joint Task Force (JTF) and after a thorough investigation, Amotoi Global Services was given a clean bill of health. The arrested staff were released as they were discovered to be carrying out legitimate containment and recovery of spilt crude around Botokiri.

“It was crystal clear that we at Amotoi Global Services have been carrying out our activities lawfully,” Frank said.

He urged the public to ignore and discontinue the said allegations and should be aware that masterminds of the smear campaigns are intimidated by the strides made by Amotoi Global Services and its workforce.

Frank said that Labrador Security should be held responsible if any damage occurs at the Aiteo operational field adding that entities that thrive in serial lying and misinformation should not be taken seriously.
