…Harps on integrity, humility, wisdom seeks service delivery

The Permanent Secretary, Office of the Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government, Mrs. Imaobong Okon has officially resumed duties with a call on staff to wear their cap of integrity, humility and wisdom for quality service delivery.

The Permanent Secretary stated this when she held her maiden meeting with management and staff of the office, Thursday, June 8th, 2023 at the Conference Room of the SSG’s office.

Okon, who described the Office of the Secretary to the State Government as the engine room of government that operates on the foundation of high service delivery protocol, charged Management and staff in the Office to apply a teamwork approach and cooperation in delivering on Governor Umo Eno’s vision for the State as contained in his Arise Agenda.

According to her, the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah as a man filled with passion for quality service delivery, reiterated for utmost commitment to duties from staff in the office.

She stated that to achieve the tasks staff must exhibit the scriptural guides in Proverbs 11:2-3 which anchors on lowly wisdom, and integrity of the upright but frowns on the perverseness of transgressors that leads to destruction.

She said: “I thank God for His grace that we are meeting here today for the first as I resume duties in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government as the Permanent Secretary, she said.

“As we start, let us work with integrity, humility and wisdom as the Bible in Proverbs 11:2-3 says because by so doing, the tasks of this office would be achieved; remember also that, one of the ministerial demands of this office is that of maintenance of the high level of government protocol as the engine room of government.

“While I charge you all to work collectively, please endeavour to be guided also by the hierarchical rule of the civil service.”

While setting the tone for the meeting, the Director of Administration and Supplies, Mr Eniefiok Matthew welcomed and introduced the Permanent Secretary to the staff and pledged readiness to work with her for the success of the office.

Matthew appreciated staff in the office of the Secretary to the State Government and called on them to cooperate and work for the success of the Office and the administration of Governor Umo Bassey Eno.
