Passengers burned to dead in Osun

Seven passengers were reportedly killed in the early hours of Wednesday when an 18-seater bus was involved in an isolated crash in Osun State around 3:45 a.m.

The bus crashed into a billboard along the Ilesha/Osu highway at high speed.

It was learned that the vehicle, which came from Zamfara State, had caught fire.

Osun Security Network Field Commander, codenamed “Amotekun” Comrade Amitolu Shittu, confirmed the accident.

We were on patrol around 3:45 a.m. in Ilesha when the accident happened.

“The vehicle was at full speed when it struck a billboard. The vehicle was carrying two motorcycles and passengers.

“Some passengers were burned to the point of being unrecognizable. The FRSC and the fire department joined us.

FRSC Osun State Sector Commander Paul Okpe also confirmed this.

“A white Toyota Hiace was involved in an accident. Seven people died and four were burned to the point of being unrecognizable,” he said.
