Panic as corps member stabs boyfriend to death in A’Ibom

A serving member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Miss Odume Pascaline has allegedly stabbed a young man to death.
Odume Pascaline, a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka was said to have used a machete to repeatedly stab her lover, after a possible marathon sex lasting throughout Saturday night.
Identified on Facebook as Odume Princess Pascaline, the Anambra born graduate was caught on Sunday morning around 9:30am at Abak Road, Uyo, trying to jump over a fence from the compound where her dead lover lived.
A large crowd had gathered at Abak Road by Afaha-Offot where she was caught, stripped naked and beaten to a pulp by an angry mob.
The lifeless body of the unidentified man was found with several cuts on his body.
An eye witnessed who gave his name as Eduek Iman said her advances was suspicious, raising curiosity, until she was traced to the room.
“Blood stains were all over her, and as she tried to escape, people saw her and were worried about what might have happened for her wears to have been so stained with blood. And her suspicious brisk walk and an attempt to skid the fence, gave her out as she was caught, stripped naked and beaten to stupor.
“She machete the young guy to death, after she spent the night with him. She killed the young guy instantly after several cuts on his stomach and face,” Eduek said.
Our reporters learnt that Pascaline was a familiar face in the area, as she was allegedly known for “sending Indian hemp to area boys.”
Confirming the news to our reporters, the Police Public Relations Officer, Akwa Ibom State, DSP Odiko McDon, said the allegations was true as investigations were still ongoing.
Also speaking with our correspondent, the Public Relations Officer of National Youth Service Corps, Akwa Ibom State, Mr Linus Edor, who said it was a sad situation in the New Year.
Edor stated: “The corps member, who is from Anambra State was in police custody. The corps is yet to issue an official statement on the matter.”
