Olugboboro Community in Bayelsa inaugurates devt. Committee

The Olugboboro community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State has inaugurated a new Community Development Committee (CDC) to run the affairs of the community for the next two years.
According to a statement in Yenagoa by the Community’s Secretary General, Mr Napoleon Azeke, the Chairman of the CDC is Mr Vincent Kenbo.
Other members of the Exco include Mr Ayibapretei Maku Vice-chairman, Mr Inisuoyo Berepugi Secretary, Mr. Michael Gibson, Public Relations Officer and Mr.Lot Azeke member.
Azeke enjoined Kenbo and his team to pay utmost attention to the overall development of Olugboboro community.
The Secretary General also noted that the task before the new team is enormous considering the developmental challenges facing the community.
He also affirmed the ability of the new Exco to drive the needed development in the community .
In a remark, the new CDC, Chairman said he is aware of the enormous developmental challenges facing Olugboboro community and promised that the Exco will set aside personal interest to bring about development to the community.
Kenbo also said the team’s priority is to restore peace and assured the community that he would strive to bring peace to the community, because according to him ; there cannot be any meaningful development without enduring peace in the community.
He promised to work in synergy with other bodies ; such as the chiefs council, women, youths and government agencies to engender peace and drive infrastructural development to the community.
He added that he would run an inclusive administration; where every interest group and indigene of the area would be carried along in running the affairs of the community.
