Ogun So-Safe arrests illicit drug dealers, recovers exhibits

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps codenamed So-Safe Corps, has apprehended suspected illicit drug dealers and recovered sacks of Marijuana in Ogun.

This is contained in a press release issued from the office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf.

The release said that at about 0230hrs on 11 December 2023, the Oke Ogun Area Command officers of the corps while on routine patrol at Abule Sikiru along Igbo-Ora Road in Abeokuta North Local Government Area, spotted four Bajaj motorbikes with three of the motorbikes carrying 22 sacks of Marijuana and two other people on the 4th Motorbike leading the team and fully armed with varieties of local charms.

Ganzallo noted that three suspects allegedly escaped while two apprehended together with the exhibits and the four motorbikes used to perpetrate the crime.

He also said that as at the time of filing this report, the two apprehended culprits refused to disclose their identity.

Two of the motorbikes are marked ABG 041 DY and MEK 071 QC while the rest 2 are not registered he said.

The two apprehended suspects, exhibit (22 sacks of Marijuana) and four motorbikes were handed over to the NDLEA, State Headquarters Team at Alamutu in Abeokuta North Local Government Area for further investigation and likely prosecution.
