Ogun So-Safe arrests 37-year-old robbery suspect, recovers stolen exhibits
The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps, known as So-Safe Corps, successfully apprehended a robbery suspect involved in the theft of sliding windows at Iyana Ifako, Alagbon.
In a press release from the office of the State Commander, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo, through the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, it was revealed that on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024, at approximately 0545hrs, the Owode-Yewa Divisional Command operation team, led by SC Fatimoh Idris, apprehended Ashade Kamoru.
The suspect, a resident of Wawe House, Elekure Street, Alagbon, Owode in Yewa South Local Government Area, was caught in the act of burgling a deserted building on Ifako Road.
He had stolen six sliding aluminium windows, three of which were recovered on the spot.
Ganzallo emphasized that the suspect, Ashade Kamoru, confessed to the crime during the preliminary investigation. Subsequently, he led the Corps officers to a place where he had hidden the remaining three sliding windows, intending to remove more later.
The suspect and the recovered exhibits have been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Owode Egbado (Yewa) Police Headquarters for further investigation and potential prosecution.
