NSCDC parades man, 30 over alleged cable theft

The Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has paraded a 30-year-old man, Yomi Sunday, for alleged vandalization of armoured cable in the Mopa Muro LGA of the state.

The commandant of the NSCDC in Kogi State, Ahmad Ahmad Gandi, paraded the suspect in Lokoja on Wednesday at the command’s headquarters.

He added that the culprit was arrested by the vigilante group and handed him over to the corps in Mopa.

The commandant added that the action of the suspect had regrettably put seven communities in Kogi West, including Aiyeteju – Mopa, Amuro, Agbajogun – Lodo, and others from the national grid.

The suspect was paraded with eight wrapped bundles of the cables, packed for easy transportation to his desired prospective buyers.
