NIPR to host AGM elections

The Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has commenced preparations for hosting its national Annual General Meeting and elections.
State Chairman of NIPR, Elder Manasseh Umoette who said the event would be of immense economic benefit to the state, inaugurated the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) during the weekend for the Nigeria Public Relations Week 2025.
Umoette said it would be an opportunity to market the state as a destination and showcase the hospitality of Akwa Ibom state and urged the LOC and other members to contribute their quota to the event’s success.
“We have what it takes, in terms of personnel who know what to do. Today is a special day, we want to inaugurate the local organising committee for the NIPR week hosted here. That event will bring so much benefit to Akwa Ibom State in terms of economics, I can bet you that the economy of the state would be stimulated.
“2025 is not just going to be an ordinary Annual General meeting, it is going to be an election year. So, all Public Relations practitioners in Nigeria would be coming to Akwa Ibom State for AGM/elections.
It speaks to the fact that we would be expecting well over 5,000 delegates to Akwa Ibom. We know the value it would bring to the state economically and otherwise, and it is also an opportunity to market our state,” he stated.
In his acceptance speech, the Chairman of the LOC, Dr Uduak Obot assured that he would, alongside other members leave no stone unturned to ensure that NPRW reflects the excellence and professionalism that NIPR stands for.
Obot promised to ensure that the event offers a mix of comfort, business, and exclusive ambience for participants, leveraging on technology and the team’s expertise, experience and professionalism.
“As we embark on this transformative journey, I call upon each member of our esteemed institute to contribute actively. Whether it’s through sharing your ideas, volunteering your time, or simply spreading the word, every effort will be invaluable.
“I assure you all that I will work diligently to ensure that Nigeria Public Relations Week 2025 will be a beacon of knowledge, innovation, and progress for our profession. Thank you, and I look forward to embarking on this remarkable journey with you all,” he stated.
