Nembe community backs Tinubu, Sunny-Goli, Obuebite

The Nembe community in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has endorsed President Bola Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The community also endorsed Rt. Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli for the Senate, Hon. Jonathan Robinson Obuebite for the House of Representatives and APC candidates contesting the Bayelsa State House of Assembly seats in Nembe Local Government Area.

The Nembe community in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has endorsed President Bola Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The community also endorsed Rt. Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli for the Senate, Hon. Jonathan Robinson Obuebite for the House of Representatives and APC candidates contesting the Bayelsa State House of Assembly seats in Nembe Local Government Area.

The endorsement was announced on Friday when community leaders received a delegation of the APC Nembe Local Government Area chapter, led by the Bayelsa State APC Deputy Chairman, Hon. Ayobegha James, and Chief Kuroghofa Walter Benwari.

The leaders said their decision was based on the candidates’ experience, capacity and commitment to good governance and development.

Those who spoke included Chief Rev. Fente Thomas Abrakassa, Gbudugbudu 1 of the Niger Delta, Hon. Amunaboye Clement and Mr Tuguemi Ebi Inala.

They said the candidates had demonstrated the capacity to promote development, economic prosperity and good governance in Nembe, Bayelsa State and Nigeria.

The community leaders also commended Governor Douye Diri for his efforts to promote peace and development in Nembe and across Bayelsa State.

They cited the Nembe Unity Bridge, Nembe-Brass Road and other infrastructure projects as notable interventions by the state government.

The community pledged to mobilise votes for all the endorsed candidates, from the presidential election to the State House of Assembly contests.

James, in his remarks, commended the Port Harcourt Nembe community for its unity and support for the APC.

He assured the community that the party remained committed to policies aimed at promoting prosperity, security and infrastructure development in Nembe and Bayelsa State.

Benwari urged community members to sustain their support for the APC and work collectively towards victory in the 2027 elections.

The endorsed candidates thanked the community for its confidence in them and pledged to remain accessible to the people.

They also promised to maintain strong grassroots ties and make the welfare and interests of their constituents central to their representation.

The event attracted traditional rulers, community leaders, politicians and other stakeholders from Nembe and Bayelsa State.

Among those present were Chief Barigha David Ikurite Yekorogha, Chief Alfred Imbasi Atiegha, Chief Alfred Ikiba Amabebe, Chief Beinmote Egi-Dani, Chief Benjamin Abrakasa Claud, Chief Befie Inemo Igbeta-Fiberesima, Dr Godson Omubo Dede and Hon. Albert Stanley-Obi.

Others included Hon. Anthony Zuokemefa, Hon. Paingha MacDonald, APC State Deputy Woman Leader Mrs Loveth Obabofa Eldred, Nembe Local Government Vice-Chairman Lady Ikio Daniel, HRH Gelegukuma Apiri Harrison and Prof. Waribugo Silver.

Also in attendance were HRH Inaingo Sambo, retired DSP Rufus Izzi, Hon. Ayebainaemi Sydney Keremah, Chief Fyne Ikierigha Allen, Hon. Serece Bomo, Hon. Okorigbanyo Yousuo, Hon. Justice Bello, Dr Mayomi Asuku, Hon. Diepreye Bob, Hon. Aneri Obuebite and Diepreye Thom-Okoro, Esq.
