The Movement for the Survival of the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality in Niger Delta (MOSIEND) on Thursday commiserated with the family of Sylvester Oromoni Jnr who was murdered by suspected students at a private college in Lagos.

MOSIEND’s position was contained in a statement by its National Secretary Amb. Amain Winston, condemning the dastardly act.

“MOSIEND totally condemns in a strong term such act; we wish the management of the school to take adequate measure to prevent a repeat of the incident, and the Lagos State Government to also put necessary and drastic measures in place to avert recurrence of this kind,” MOSIEND said.

The MOSIEND urged students to face their studies, be ambassadors of peace and agents of development and not agents of killing and destruction.

MOSIEND further called on the police and other relevant security agencies to ensure that the culprits are apprehended through careful and speedy investigation so that they can face the law.

MOSIEND commended the Lagos State Government in ensuring that the school is shut down indefinitely.

MOSIEND, according to the statement will collaborate with the family of the Late Master Sylvester Oromoni Jnr and all those who think well for a better society in ensuring that justice prevails on the matter.
