MOSIEF throws weight behind Onochie’s nomination to chair NDDC boards

The Movement for the Survival of Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta on Wednesday threw its weight behind the nomination of Lorretta Onochie ad Chairperson of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
MOSIEND, a socio-cultural group noted that giving the exalted position to a woman was commendable and expressed the hope that Onochie would justify the confidence reposed on her.
Mr Kenedy Tonjo-West, MOSIEND President in a reaction to Onochie’s appointment noted that she was eminently qualified and has the competencies.
Tonjo-West who spoke in a telephone interview with our correspondent said that as an aide who had worked closely with the President, the nomination indicated that she had earned the confidence of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The MOSIEND leader noted that as a daughter of the Niger Delta, Onochie was well positioned to steer the ship of the NDDC, as she knows the challenges facing the region.
He urged the Senate to give its nod to Onochie’s nomination, to return the NDDC to the part of progress.
MOSIEN also urged stakeholders of the region to support the incoming board to achieve the president’s vision for the development of NDDC.
