Lagos police nab notorious one-chance robbery gang

Police operatives attached to Surulere Division have arrested two members of a one-chance gang notorious for operating along Funsho Williams Avenue.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin on Wednesday, 24 August 2022, said the suspects, Usman Hussani, aged 21, and Ebuka Ukechukwu, aged 25, were arrested following a distress call received from a victim shortly after he was dispossessed of his phone and other valuables.

Recovered from the suspects are two mobile phones, two SIM cards, one Sterling Bank ATM card, one UBA cheque booklet belonging to Ugochukwu (other names withheld) and one brand new tricycle with number plate LSD 360 QN used by the gang.

The PPRO stated that the suspects would be arraigned once investigations are concluded.

According to him, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, appealed to residents of Lagos state to always remain vigilant and keen-eyed, especially when boarding public vehicles.
