Lagos first female surveyor-general, Dupe Fasasi is dead
The first and only female surveyor-general ever produced in Lagos State, Alhaja Dupe Fasasi is dead.
Sources said Fasasi died on Tuesday morning and has since been buried at the Abari Cemetery, Lagos according to Islamic rite.
Surveyor Fasasi was the permanent secretary and Surveyor-General of Lagos State between 2003-2005. She was also the first surveyor-general in Lagos to be appointed as a permanent secretary.
Before joining the services of the Lagos State government, she was deputy surveyor-general in the office of the Surveyor-General of the Federation, Abuja.
She studied Surveying Engineering between 1970 and 1975 in Canada. Before then, she had gone to the School of Surveying in Oyo.
She ran a surveying private practice in Lagos until her death.
