First deputy speaker of Lagos assembly Adediran is dead
The first Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mrs Adetoun Adediran, has died.
Adediran, a former women leader of the All Progressive Congress, Lagos chapter, died in the early hours of Wednesday after a brief illness.
Spokesman of the Lagos APC, Mr Seye Oladejo, confirmed the demise of the former deputy speaker when contacted by our correspondent.
“She was a former women leader for Lagos Central, a consummate politician and a committed leader of her people who contributed immensely to the growth of the party and the development of Lagos State. She will be sorely missed,” he said.
