FCTA seals PDP secretariat over unpaid ground rent
The Federal Capital Territory Authority, FCTA, sealed the National Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Monday.
It was learnt that the FCTA sealed the secretariat located in the Zone 5 area of Abuja for failing to pay its ground rent.
Spokesman of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, confirmed the sealing of the PDP’s secretariat to journalists.
Olayinka said: “FCTA seals PDP Secretariat in Zone 5, Abuja. It was revoked for not paying ground rent.
“Senator Samaila Mamman Kurfi, owner of the property, failed to pay ground rent for 28 years.”
