Emmanuel assures A’Ibom community of completing all ongoing projects

Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has said his administration would complete all the ongoing projects in Eket Local Government Area.

Emmanuel who assured the people that no ongoing project would remain uncompleted at the end of his tenure urged them to exercise no fear in that regard.

Speaking at the weekend during the commissioning of the 18,000-seater ultra-modern Eket Sport Stadium, the Governor said the stadium was a key driver of talents in the state, noting that the state has produced great athletes for the country.

He stated that already the stadium would host the Police sports festival that would hold in the last quarter of this year.

“This is a great day indeed for youths in Akwa Ibom and sports community both in the state and the nation.

“Every single project ongoing in Eket would be completed before the end of my administration. It will be all completed, so have no fears; we will finish all the ongoing projects in Eket, no matter what happens.

“Even if the contractor does not want to work, we will push him to work,” Emmanuel said.

While speaking, Gov. Abubakar Bello of Niger State who inaugurated the stadium described the facility as fantastic and nice that was built on record time, adding that the stadium would encourage young youths from Eket in football and produce quality footballers.

Bello who noted that the stadium would create and grow football players in the state in particular, and the country at large commended Governor Emmanuel for his achievements in the state.

“You are a great man with a clean heart but your commitment, your dedication and your promised to the person of Akwa Ibom is fulfilled and God bless you.

“I thank God. Emmanuel on behave of Akwa Ibom and Nigerians as a whole for a good example as a leader.

“You used resources available to the state in the areas of infrastructure, education and sport among others,” Bello said.
