Davido wins Best Humanitarian, Digital Artiste awards

Afropop artiste, Adedeji ‘Davido’ Adeleke has won the Digital artiste of the year and the Humanitarian Award of the Year at the 15th Headies Awards.

The 29-year-old singer clinched the two awards at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

Davido flowed veteran rapper RuggedMan, PSquare, 2Baba, Don Jazzy and Lord Bliss to win the Humanitarian Award of the Year.

Last year, the ‘Fall’ singer donated N250million he received from his friends and colleagues to orphanages across Nigeria as a way of celebrating his birthday.

He also outsmarts Burna Boy, CKay, Joeboy, Rema, and Wizkid to grab the Digital Artiste of the Year.

In 2012, Davido won the Next Rated award at The Headies after releasing “Dami Duro”, the second single from his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo.

He has gone on to win eight Headies awards including the Best R&B/Pop Album, Hip Hop World Revelation of the Year, two-time Song of the Year, Artiste of the Year twice and Best Pop single.
