CMC Gladiators hail Obaigbena for media leadership, nation-building

The CMC Gladiators and CMC Entertainment have paid glowing tribute to High Chief Nduka Obaigbena, Chairman of Arise TV and Chief Editor of THISDAY Newspaper, in an end-of-year appreciation message recognising his leadership and contributions to Nigeria’s media landscape.

In a statement signed by its President, Amb. Cornell Udofia, the organisation commended Obaigbena for his visionary influence, unwavering commitment to excellence, and sustained impact on journalism, democracy and nation-building.

According to the group, Obaigbena’s contributions to print and broadcast journalism have continued to shape public discourse, amplify African voices and inspire a new generation of thinkers, creatives and leaders across the continent.

Through platforms such as Arise TV and THISDAY, the statement noted, Obaigbena has consistently demonstrated courage, integrity and professionalism, while upholding global media standards and a strong commitment to truth.

“As we reflect on the year, we are grateful for his remarkable example of leadership, resilience and innovation, which has not only elevated the media space but also created platforms for meaningful engagement, empowerment and progress,” the statement read.

The CMC Gladiators and CMC Entertainment said they celebrate Obaigbena’s legacy and acknowledge his immense impact on society, while expressing appreciation for his continued service to the nation.

The group further wished him renewed strength, greater accomplishments and sustained success in the coming year.
