The Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, Hon Target Segibo has been commended for proactively curbing the recent looming crisis that emanated from the election process of the Amananaowei of Kemein-Ama Community in Bomo Clan of the Council Area.

Making the commendation in a letter addressed to the Council Chairman, the Acting Amananaowei of Kemein-Ama Community, Chief Delta EbipaimiDede said, the quick intervention of the Council Chairman to curb the crisis saved the people of Kemein-Ama from being consumed by the destructive plots of a faction of the community.

“Forthrightly, words cannot well picture the importance of your timely intervention that averted the heavy storm which would have caused a gargantuan disaster to a galore of our inestimable peace in Kemein-Ama.

“However, a group of people from the Ogoun’s lineage and others had blatantly disobeyed the directives given by you and had forcefully enthroned one Mr Wisdom Ogoun as the Paramount Ruler contrary to your decisions and that of Opuama Constitution.

“Most importantly, the other factions of the Royal families are keenly waiting for the actions from you as the Chief Security Officer of Southern Ijaw  Local Government Area as law-abiding and peace-loving citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the letter read in part.

The people promised to stand with Segibo in the pursuit of his people-oriented and developmental programmes and projects that are aimed at lifting the socio-economic development of the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area.

It could be recalled that the Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government had earlier urged factions in the community to stop all actions and processes that could lead to the election and enthronement of factional Amananaowei of Kemein-Ama Community.
