Chad President Marshal Deby seeks sixth term in office

An African President is seeking another term in office after being in office for five terms ruling for 30 Years. It was stated that this man has been ruling the African country since 1990, which is 30 years.

Recall, the situation of Uganda where Museveni beat a young man who stood up to contest for the presidential position Museveni has held since 1986.

Now, this Chad situation is coming months after Yoweri Museveni was elected as the President of Uganda for the 6th term.

Marshal Idris Deby has followed the footstep of Museveni as he contests for the 6th term in office which election is currently ongoing.

Idris Deby is the President of Chad and a former military officer who has been the President of Chad since 1990 just 4 years after Yoweri Museveni ascends to power. Marshall took power from Hissene Habre through a coup in 1990 but has survived different rebellion and coup attempts against his own rule.

Marshall who was a Graduate of Muammar Gaddafi’s World Revolutionary Center eliminate the limited chance given to rule as a President of the country, and after he successfully abolished that rule, Marshall has been ruling ever since.

Voting has already started in Chad, and the President might be re-elected once again as the President of Chad which would extend his 30 years in power to another 4 years in power.
